Ji'an prefecture located in the hinterland of Jiangxi, which has convenient transportation and developed economy, is the cultural center of the Song and Ming Dynasties. Ji'an Prefecture is also a land prosperous of Buddhist, the Qingyuan Mountain is a famous Buddhist shrine. The Yangming philosophy widely spread in mid-Ming.The Yangming meeting started by Wang Yangming, and in order to commemorate Wang yangming, the second-generation Yangming scholars made the meeting to climax.Ji'an Prefecture had become one of the center of the spread of Yangming philosophy. But the continuous development of Ji'an Prefecture's Yangming philosophy made great affect on the development of the local Buddhist, there was a subtle relationship between them. Mainly as follows:the rise and expansion of the mid-Ming's Yangming philosophy led to a decline of Ji'an Prefecture's development of Buddhism. with the changes in the thinking of the gentry groups, the Yangming scholars made double efforts to the revival of Buddhism and Yangming philosophy, and ultimately got "Jing apricot alike" situation. At the same time, we can find, the development of Yangming philosophy and Buddhism, not just the results adjusted by the ruler's policy, while closely related to the rise and fall of the local gentry class. In fact, the booms of the mid-Ming Yangming philosophy, may be more local society's "abnormal development" and the "Jing apricot alike" situation is the local society's norm situation of late Ming. From which we can recognize, Buddhist and other religious forces has always been an important force in the local society, more gentries had is with the common development, rather than transforming them. This article intends to discuss the relationship between the Buddhism and the Gentry of Ji'an Prefecture in the Ming Dynasty, which reveals a certain social outlook of that time, especially the social evolution after the mid-Ming.
