With the rise of tablet culture of Qing Dynasty, tablet penmanship has been paid much more attention by more and more people. As an important ingredient of stone inscription, epigraph penmanship has become many lovers'copy model, however with an inadequate deep research on its system. By the1950's, a batch of epigraphs have been excavated in succession in the district of Jiankang(Nanjing) which has provided scholars researching on that district's penmanship style with sufficient entities and made a huge contribution.The Eastern Jing Dynasty's capital moving southward had brought about a group of central plains'scholars and calligraphers, meanwhile broadcasted the most complete central plains'penmanship style to Changjiang valley which endowed the Eastern Jing Dynasty individual character and time feature. Culture blend of south and north, tablet and calligraphy both were embodied in those epigraphs excavated in the district of Jiankang.The regional penmanship stlye unfolded by epigraphs excavated in the district of Jiankang has played an important and profound influence on area of penmanship, culture and appreciation.
