Old Age Security is the most important part in Social Security, with the rapid development of population aging; most of the urban elderly spend his old age time in the community. In recent years, there is widespread concern about old age security in community and has made good progress, but it also need forward-looking improvements for the existing problems.This paper first reviews the theory of social welfare, social security and old age security for the relationship between progressive layers, clear the specific meaning of concepts, especially the difference between the meanings of many aged support ways.Then focusing on the community. By random surveys of aged people in the Guangnei streets of Beijing Xuanwu District, to understand the reality current work of the old age security in community. This investigation focused on the basic living conditions of the elderly, mental health and community life.The response to this investigation reflects the issue and makes concluded is that:Our existing aged community services system has not well established, mainly because of the imperfectly community organization; inadequate elderly service and the limited community services staff. Therefore, it's necessary to build a rationalized structure of grassroots political power; restore the original functions of the residents committee; improve the level of the older workers in community; the development of community services for elderly.
