Research Of Barrier-free Environment Construction In Shandong Province

In the world today, the number of the disability, the elderly and the children under the age of five, has accounted for more than 50% of the world's population. Adding to the temporarily action-inconvenient crowd, due to the pregnancy, injury, illness, disasters and such reasons, the disadvantaged quantity is very huge and amazing. The disadvantaged groups need barrier-free environment and equal participation in social life, which leads to the proposal of barrier-free environment construction problem.The purpose of barrier-free environment construction aims to ensure the disadvantaged groups, such as disabled and the elderly, women, children and so on, to participate in the social life equally, make them have the freedom of action, enjoy the social material and cultural achievements fully and become a member of the society truly.Caring the disadvantaged groups and construction the barrier-free city, have already become the important component of the urban modernization and constructing the equal, kind and mutual-respect social environment. It reflects the social civilization level of one country and city from a side.This paper expounds the theory of the research background, purpose and significance and basic concept of the barrier-free environment construction, which analysis the international and domestic development situation of the barrier-free environment construction. Through the on-the-spot investigation of the six cities in Shandong province, the author mastered the first-hand information, carried on the detailed analysis and summarized the commonness and individuality of the existing problems.
