China-Arab States Cooperation Forum: Opportunities And Challenges

Since the 21st century, the globalization has developed rapidly and the international system has had the deep transformation.International environmental changes not only provides new opportunities to enhance cooperation between China and Arab, but also presented new challenges, that's mean traditional cooperation patterns can't meet the need of The Sino Arabian relations.In this context, the cooperation forum on the scene.The forum was initiated in January 2004, when Chinese President Hu Jintao visited the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. It has since served as a platform for exchanging views between China and Arab nations and for enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation.Been held fourth ministerial conference the forum has adopted a series of important documents and China-Arab cooperation expanded into political, economic, cultural, science, high-tech and other fields. Such actions not only show that a comprehensive and new friendly and co-operative relationship is being constructed between China and Arab,but also indicate that a series of ideas and policies,different from those in history in the China-Arab relations,has been formed. China-Arab States cooperation got brilliant achievements in six years.However, we are clearly aware that there are still many problems demanding prompt solution in China-Arab cooperations.The current development of the cooperation forum is full of opportunity, its external environment, domestic demand and the mechanism itself to the development of the forum provided favourable conditions.Now, the cooperation forum, is faced with some important challenges and threats, the outstanding performance which includes the underlying obstacles, the international environment of external forces and the limitations of the mechanism itself.Just as the old saying goes,every coin has two sides,the forum is no exception.With opportunities and challenges, we cannot be unrealistically optimistic nor pessimistic. They are opportunities that exist are fleeting, the challenge is to be shirked, must go beyond..The opportunities are here today and gone tomorrow.while the challenge is simply no escape and must go beyond.And how to seize the opportunities to leap-forward development is a severe test to both sides.Calmly with eyes to observe the world,I firmly believe that the forum will be the main mechanism to promote the development of China-Arab relations.
