As a new shopping pattern, online transaction provides the broad consumers with conveniences and benefits. On the other hand, it renders the consumers'rights and interests more vulnerable to different violations and infringements than the traditional shopping model, due to its characteristics of virtuality, openness and long distance. There are many problems in protection of consumers'interests during the online transaction. The right to safety of consumers cannot be guaranteed; the right to know and to privacy is easy to be encroached; the"inequality clauses"is prevailing in the standard form of contract during the online transaction; after-sale services like changing and refunding is difficult to satisfy; right to claim is not easy to realize. All these above-mentioned problems decrease the consumers'trust on the online transaction. With the continuous development of attention on the online transaction, it becomes an important problem demanding prompt solution to how to protect the lawful rights and interests of consumers, how to establish their confidences.Firstly, the paper will define the online transaction and consumers in the online transaction. Then, it will analyze six concrete phenomena of violation on consumers'rights and interests during the online transaction. Moreover, aiming at the resulting problems, in combination with our consumer protection legislation on the online transaction, it puts forward to designate specific consumer rights protection of online transaction, strengthen self-discipline, reinforce administration supervision, perfect the credit rating system, intensify the relevant responsibility mechanism, set up the flexible dispute settlement mechanism, establish the obligation of information disclosure, and specify the model contract.
