Malaysian Local System

As we all know, democracy is all over world known nowadays, more and more countries, governments and organizations pay attention to the construction of democracy and the legal system. Local system as a part of the state system is worthy to be researched. The organization of local government, the operation of local legislative assembly and the judicial system coincide with the development of the local government. When more and more scholars put their heart into the Western countries, we had better pay our attention to our neighbors-the Asian countries. They have many similarities, of course, except the area. So, they are much easier to learn from each other. Many of them were occupied by some aggressive countries. They had to suffer from the Colonial, however, also benefited from it, such as, advanced concept, legal system and democracy. Malaysia is located in Southeast Asia, its peace and stability atmosphere is more or less benefits from Malaysian local system. We can learn from Malaysian practice.Thanks to many former scholars, today, I got some achievements through their research ways, such as historical research and logical research. These ways help me to get more information of the influence of the construction of Malaysian local system affected by the Colonial. Firstly, more and more scholars home or abroad, focus on the democracy about Asian countries. Professor Chen Qingzhu, as Singapore Ambassador to the U.S., once wrote articles to talk about the democracy of Asia. In his mind, there really exists a special democracy-Asian democracy. Professor Li Wen has many achievements about Asian constitutionalism. So many scholars also pay attention to the construction of the constitutional politics. However, they are hardly to know the relationship between the state system and the local system. In that way, they surely lose some important information about Malaysia. As a result, many of them take Malaysia of no account; I want to show you the local system of Malaysia coming from the historical and logical angle; Secondly, I want to share the relationship between the state system and the local system. Although, the Malaysian federal system learns from the United States, however, they are different. The local governments of Malaysia are more powerful. Thirdly, special protection over Malaysian Sabah and Sarawak, coinciding with the protection of the Malaysians and the Malaysian Natives show us some important information about Malaysian local system. Finally, there are many similarities between Malaysia and our country. So, we can learn the advantages from Malaysia, and also overcome the disadvantages. At the same time, we had better take some measures to make the local governments more active. We believe our country will become more and more glorious.
