Political Islam's Influences On Indonesia's Foreign Policy

This article aims to reveal political Islam's influences on Indonesia foreign policy in each historical period of Indonesia, including the development of political Islam in different periods, its characteristics, influences and ways of affecting Indonesia foreign policy etc., and hope to make some references for the study of political Islam's influences on Indonesia foreign policy in general.The main points include: (1) Political Islam and Indonesia's foreign policy in Sukarno era. First is to find the characteristics, forms and political ideas of political Islam based on the rise of political Islam in Indonesia. This is in order to find the approaches of political Islam's influences on Indonesia's foreign policy. (2) Political Islam and Indonesia's foreign policy in Suharto era. It is to find its way of influencing foreign policy and its performance by revealing the characteristics of political Islam during Suharto era. (3) Political Islam and Indonesia's foreign policy in post-Suharto era. Firstly, in the special period of Indonesia's political transformation and social transformation, coupled with the impact of the international Islamic revival, we must find out its differences from previous changes. Then study the characteristics of political Islam in this period of Indonesia. Secondly, with the basis of previous studies, we will reveal the approaches political Islam influences Indonesia's foreign policy and its performance.
