With the growing of Chinese netizens'scale, numerous hot events of network public opinion have coalesced into an irresistible trend in cyberspace in recent years. The tremendous force has not only swept across the virtual space, but also intruded into everywhere of the real world constantly, which induces increased social shock. Consequently, netizens'complicated behaviors have been a well-concerning focus, which, in the mean while, attracted academia scholars'attention to the study.Mainly by means of the research methods of documents and materials, investigation and case analysis, the present paper aims at discussing and analyzing the behavior manners, motives and effects of netizens, who as the subject of the hot events. Specifically, this thesis, through collecting, observing, counting and analyzing the materials of many typical hot events of network public opinion, concludes and describes 3 common kinds of behavior manners(rational & moderate type, emotional type and extreme & ultra type) accroding to the netizens'mood, analyses four different behavior motives(interest-motive, right-motive, abreacting-motive and morality & justice-motive) drawing on each related basic theories, and builds five behavior effect models(enlarging effect, stressing effect, restraining effect, interfering effect and infecting effect) to interpret their consequences. Finally, basing on the achieved generality of netizens'behavior manners, motives and effects, this study attempts to utilize a case of Deng Yujiao to reflect netizens'particular aspects in this event.
