Study On The Supervision Of Public Opinion Network Group Events

The group events happen frequently in China at present and become the most important factor which impacts the social stability; eventually, it will lead us to live in a risk society. The network media, especially the new media such as weibo(micro-blog) has become the main Internet public opinion which may cause crisis events. In recent years, the appearance of mass incidents in China caused by internet public opinion presents an upward tendency in a straight line, has made it become the focus of Network industry and the academic community. Corresponding, the evolution of the role of the Internet public opinion has gradually to the evolution of complex situation. Therefore, how to manage the mass incidents effectively, the network public opinion is the issue that the government can’t avoid.This paper, with analyzing the characteristics of group events in China as well as the rapidly development of network in recent years, the author draw a conclusion that it has a reality significance in dealing with network public opinion. Under this background, starting from the concept of group events and network public opinion, put forward four characteristics of network public opinion group events, it also studies the urgency and necessity about researching the impact of the network public opinion in group events. And then, the author will analyze the positive and the negative influence of the network public opinion on the group events, according the empirical research of hot group events. The last part, the author focus on analyzing the government should strengthen the network management:The local government should do the following five things well when disposing of mass incidents, to maximize the positive role of the government management in the network public opinion, avoid the negative influence of network public opinion. Firstly, as the leading source of network public opinion, the government should establish the network discourse as the core dominance, give active guidance of public opinion; secondly, as the researchers of network public opinion, the government should observe the public opinion, monitor public opinion, exploit public opinion demands; thirdly, as the effective management for network public opinion, the government should perfect the legislation, govern with the law; fourthly, as active participants of network public opinion, the government should release government information through the network, strengthen the interaction of government and public network, improve the response mechanism of network public opinion; the last, as the wizard, the government should strengthen the concept of service-oriented government, improve the government’s credibility in the practical work, achieve the goal of a harmonious society. e credibility of the government in the practical work, to achieve the goal of a harmonious society.
