With the development of economic globalization, technological and cultural exchanges between countries are becoming more frequent. In this process, it inevitably needs to translate good works to promote the spread of culture. Therefore, the study and protection of translation right is particularly important. Translation right as a property right, especially in the international copyright trade, the right will bring huge economic benefits. China, as the largest developing country, needs to absorb advanced foreign cultures and ideas, so we need a comprehensive understanding of translation right in order to get the most outstanding works; At the same time, as the world's second-largest economy, China develops rapidly, and Chinese culture has been accepted and loved around the world, then other countries will learn from China through translating Chinese works, so we need a profound understanding of translation right, in order to seize the initiative and maintain the interests of the writers. In addition, the study and protection of translation right will make a positive effect on Chinese translation industry, so as to promote the revitalization of China's cultural industry.This paper is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction of the significance of topics and current studies, etc. In the second part, firstly it defines the translation in the copyright, and then elaborates the concept of the translation right and makes a comprehensive introduction of translation right. The third part mainly discusses the operational issues in the licensing process for the purpose of guiding practice. The fourth part is the focus of the paper. It mainly discusses the limitation of translation right, including the review of relevant provisions in the Copyright Law and my own suggestions on the amendments, and discussion of the judicial practice related with translation right, as well as comprehensive analysis on the introduction of compulsory licensing. And then indicates that we should make use of the preferential treatment for developing countries to establish the compulsory licensing. The final part is innovation of this paper. In this part I put forward my own proposals on the development of translation industry in China through studying.
