Since opening port, Shanghai gradually became a city of immigrants from a small town where people from all regions congregate. More than half of the immigrants in Shanghai come from Jiangsu, and lots of them are Subei people. As all Chinese and even foreign scholars study of the history of Shanghai know, Subei people have long suffered from Shanghai social discrimination as their poor image with good and evil people mixed up. But Subei people have played an important role in Shanghai revolutionary movement, especially in the period of the stormy Great Revolution, the function of Subei people can't be allowed to ignore. Whether in the February Strike, in the May 30th Movement in 1925 or in the third workers armed uprising, the male Subei workers always played the major force.Since long ago, academic circle on Subei people in Shanghai is always not in popular demand. How do the Communists mobilize Subei people in Shanghai? Does poverty spontaneously guide to revolutionary character? All of these problems are ignored by scholars. In the course of the study, the author found that the CPC combined the theory of Marxism and the situation of our country in the revolution practice in Shanghai. As a result, the Communists founded many workers schools in Hudong and Huxi factory district where Subei people are relatively concentrated. Through the political mobilization by workers school of the CPC like understandable and flexible education method, the cultural level and political consciousness of Subei workers who later became the backbone of the Labour Movement in 1920s are effectively improved. The whole thesis consists of five parts. The first chapter is the introduction which mainly introduces the origin of research topic, the significance and the relevant academic review, the thinking method, etc. The second chapter mainly expounds the related theory about political mobilization and the useful exploration of mobilization by the CPC in its early stage. The third chapter investigates: the cause of Subei people moved to Shanghai, the industry they engaged in; the workers school founded by the CPC and its recruiting Students way and education method; Subei workers'process of accepting initiation and their performance in workers school. The fourth chapter discusses the mobilization effect of Shanghai workers school, and specifically investigates the vanguard role of Subei people in the February Strike, in the May 30th Movement and in Shanghai workers 3 times armed uprising. At last, the conclusion is that the political mobilization form of school model is an effective piece of experience of uniting and mobilizing the masses to devote to the revolutionary cause by our party. It has been proved by Subei people in Shanghai during 1924-1927. Meanwhile, it also proved that poverty can not guide to revolutionary character spontaneously, and makes the political mobilization of the workers school prominent.
