Research On Shanghai Workers' Political School (1952.5-1954.8)

Shanghai Workers' Political School was established under the direct impetus of the Party-building movement in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.As a special political school for training workers' activists and developing workers' Party members,it can be said to be a typical example of carrying out workers' political education at that time.During the school-running period,the Shanghai Workers' Political School carried out fruitful ideological and political education to the workers around the central tasks of the CPC in various periods,rapidly raised the ideological awareness of the workers' students,stimulated the political enthusiasm of the working class,made the Party's policies deeply rooted in the hearts of the people,and laid a solid foundation for the socialist construction of New China.With the end of the Party consolidation campaign and the change of training objects,in August 1954,Shanghai Workers' Political School was transformed into the second Party School of the Shanghai Municipal Committee,gradually undertaking the training task of the backbone of the workers' branch.The main body of this paper is divided into three chapters:In the first chapter,the background of the establishment of Shanghai Workers' Political School is analyzed.The urgency and necessity of the establishment of Shanghai Workers' Political School are analyzed from four aspects: to promote the development of the Party building work in Shanghai,to consolidate the achievements of the democratic reform movement,to meet the inherent needs of Shanghai Workers' Political Education and to prepare the backbone for the "integration,three reforms".Secondly,the general situation of Shanghai Workers' Political School is introduced from three aspects: the establishment of the school,its reconstruction,its organizational structure,its teachers and students.In the second chapter,the teaching situation of Shanghai Workers' Political School and the work of developing new Party members among the students are elaborated in detail.According to the different training objects,the teaching situation of activists,new Party members,workers' political teachers and thebackbone of the branch is reviewed respectively.It also summarizes the general situation,methods,steps and characteristics of Party building in Shanghai Workers' Political School.Chapter three summarizes the characteristics and effectiveness of Shanghai Workers' Political School.
