China launched the transformation in area of the economic system and political institution since reform and openness, including planned economy system to market economy system, economic extensive growth model to intensive growth model, close conservative consciousness to the wide openness to the world. Not only do these changes improve national production capacity, but also advanced people's quality of life and consumption level. The domestic consumption environment altered with these transformation with the infiltrate of the doctrine of Consumerism from developed capitalist country in the West, which impacting the people's consumption viewpoint. Incorrect consumption viewpoints such as luxurious consumption, semiotic consumption, premature consumption bring about danger to society, economy and ecology and induce people to purchase the material well-being life, to indulges the desire from the origin of soul. People are perplexed in the dilemma of goods admiration when the development of person is hindered. We are faced with a multitude of problems such as how to balance the material requisite and spiritual requisite, how to solve the contradiction between the social economy and production, how to liberate the body and soul of human simultaneously, how to realize the harmonious coexistence between human and nature. This article brings about thought-provocation of the problems in the period of social transformation bypass the analysis of and Marxist consumption viewpoint screening of Western Marxist consumption theory, to reflect the significance of Marxist consumption theory.The basic thoughts of this paper: Firstly, the background and importance will be expounded including the prevailing doctrine of Consumerism from developed capitalist country in the West and the changes of domestic consumption environment. From both aspects of objective reality environment and subject consciousness, we will explore the comparison of consumption viewpoint between the planned economy system and market economy system and give the basis of changing consumption manner and increasing consumption intension. Then, we will unscramble the Marxism consumption viewpoint in several levels and Variability of magnitude, elaborating the relationship between consumption and production, distribution, exchange, and people's development, and nature. Marxist consumption viewpoint will be probed form four dimensions in the deeper level, four of them are embryology, critique, institutional arrangement and humanism. Secondly, the development of the Marxism consumption viewpoint will be discoursed by means of screening Western Marist consumption theory. At last, we will try to point out the challenges with which consumption concept faced. Marxist consumption viewpoint will guide us to the right direction when we work out the problems of value crisis, ecosystem crisis and social crisis.The main innovation of this paper: First, the article set the objective reality stage for the change of the subject idea, combining the practical situation of our social transformation, as well as concerning the alternation of the consumption environment. Second, not just do I criticize the consumption, but also I advocate the concept of moderate consumption and healthy consumption. In the period of social transformation, we should promote the consumption custom by means of enlarging the consumption intension and adjusting the consumption structure. Finally, I correct the wrong consumption viewpoint. Third, I deepen and distinguish modern Western Marxist consumption theory as well as analyse the Marxism consumption viewpoint. In addition, it will be more instructive when guiding our consumption viewpoint in the contemporary era.
