Rigidly, China's credit market was developed in the1980's. Now, in the market-oriented economy, consumer credit is a spectacular economic phenomenon. In the2010, the total personal consumption loan from financial institutions rose by1.89trillion. Individual housing credit is an important part of consumer credit, being a close connection with people's daily life. As we all know, buying a house means a lot of expense, not everyone can burden it. Meantime, individual housing credit is a highly sophisticated trading.With the individual housing credit market developing, housing credit consumption has been become an important consumption for the general public. At the same time, infringing upon the rights and interests of consumers in the individual housing credit consumption field has become a increasingly serious problem, so protect individual housing credit consumers' legal rights and interests, has become a more and more important. We shouldn't ignore the problem. In the housing credit trading, because information asymmetry, consumers can't be accurately aware of information on the housing credit market; for bank, the holding financial institutions, strong professional, capital, information superiority. The consumer's rights and interests are infringed upon. Because of lacking of experience and economic support, their rights and interests can't be ensured.Based on the analysis of individual housing credit, the situation of protection of consumers' rights in society and based on the reality of our country, the foreign lawmaking practice and experience, discusses the individual housing credit in our country. This article poses to protect the rights and interests of consumers in the individual housing credit, and puts forward related suggestions.
