Study Of The Ecological Value Of The Ideological And Political Education

The development of human society has incurred a series of ecological issues, such as environmental pollution, resource shortage, and huge population size, with the result that the relationship between human and nature has become so tense as to seriously impact the harmony and sustainable development of human society. As an important social spiritual resource since the era of human civilization. Ideological and Political Education (IPE) is a purposeful, conscious practice, playing a special historical role in boosting human society progress. Meanwhile, the report of the Seventeenth CPC Central Committee proposed for the first time "the construction of ecological civilization" and other important ideas to "thoroughly implement-the scientific concept of development", stressing the need to achieve harmonious development between human and nature. Since IPE is the lifeblood of other practices, it should advance with the times and comprise the construction of ecological civilization in its research field to increase the ideological and spiritual protection for building a harmonious society.This paper systematically studies the origin, main content, realization path of ecological value in IPE so as to improve the theoretical basis of IPE and fully play its educational function. Firstly,for mining theoretical source and summarizing connotion and forms of ecological value in IPE, a literature review of the relationship between human and nature is made around the simple notions in ancient China, the deliberation of Western scholars, relevant discussions in Marxism and the offical proposition in Scientific Outlook on Development on this issue. Then the significance and necessity of researching the ecological value in IPE is discussed on the ground of theoretical development of IPE, the all-round development of man, the root of ecological crisis and the effective implementation of sustainable development strategy. At the end of this paper, ecological value in IPE is insisted to be realized through enriching the content of IPE, constructing an ecological culture, building educational machanisms of ecological ethics, improving policy and legal protection, and etc.In short,it is of great significance to mine, deepen and realize the ideological value in IPE. and enhance the study of ecological value in IPE for the sake of easing pressure of population, environment, resources, energy on ecology and the construction of ecological civilization.
