The Study On The Ecological Function And It’s Performance In Ideological And Political Education

Ideological and political education is the social practice that consciously and intentionally exerts an impact on people’s ideological and moral quality. It plays a significant role in the construction of ecological civilization. Adjusting the relations between human and nature is one of the bases of ideological and political education, and enhancing the study over the ecological function of ideological and political education is considered as a subject of importance in the theory studies of this field. In the paper this subject will be explored on the basis of practice. The paper is composed of three main parts:First, connotation and performance of the ecological function of ideological and political education will be interpreted. The ecological function of ideological and political education refers to the way in which ideological and political education helps people shape their ecological awareness and ideas on ecological value through ecological ethics education, so that people can regulate their own activities and adjust their relations with ecology to promote the construction of ecological civilization. The performance of this function includes helping people shape the ecological awareness, increasing their sense of responsibility on ecological ethics, guiding people to abide by ecology-related laws and regulations and modifying their ecological activities.Second, the poor performance of the ecological function of ideological and political education and reasons behind that will be analyzed. In this paper the author takes the view that one can find the poor performance in such areas as the little awareness of ecology by some people, disorder of ecological activities in a minority of people, relations between people and nature getting intense, and the ecological degradation. Reasons lying behind include influence of traditional human-centered value, inadequate attention on the ecological function of ideological and political education, ineffective implementation of ecological ethics education and lack of necessary rules and regulations on the exercise of ecological function of ideological and political education.Third, strategy to promote the ecological function of the ideological and political education will be put forward in the paper, which consists of strengthening the education on scientific development to help people foster correct ecological values, enhancing the education on ecological ethics to improve people’s ecological morality, advancing the establishment of necessary rules and regulations to ensure the exercise of the ecological function of ideological and political education, and creating a favorable social environment for the work of the ecological function of ideological and political education.
