Analysis Of Bi Yongnian's Political Thoughts

Bi Yongnian (1870-1901) was a famous Revolutionary in Chinese modern history, he was a man with rebellious spirit, during the period from the Reform Movement of1898to the revolutionaries of Huizhou uprising, Bi Yongnian played an important role in contacting the community to against the rule of the Qing dynasty. He was good at promoting parties, and served as a leader in the Gelaohui, after the failing of the Hundred Days'Reform, he turned to revolution, and joined the Revive China Society in Japan, actively contacted two lakes societies, and played a very important role in linking the revolutionaries and the secret societies of Yangtze River basin, contributed to the merging of Gelaohui, the Revive China Society and Guangdong triad. He had also taken part in Tang Caichang self-reliance, standing army under the leadership of the uprising, took part in the uprising in Huizhou. The historical process of the development and change of Bi Yongnian's thought, was also a micro-miniature of the unique and important social stratum of gentleman in modern China in the differentiation and the evolution of development.This article reviews and analyzes Bi Yongnian's straggle through his lifetime, grasp the evolution venation of his political ideas, and the main contents of the several different stages of his thoughts. I believe that Bi Yongnian' thoughts can be broadly divided into early political thought of patriotism, new thought in the new period, as well as though revolution against the Qing dynasty.
