From 1924 to 1937,Mao Zedong paid close attention to the problems of farmers and gradually deepened his understanding of them.He accurately grasped the characteristics and requirements of the times,based on the Marxist theory,drew on and absorbed the farmers’ thoughts in the modern Chinese farmers’ movement,and formed a relatively rich and scientific thought on Farmers’ problems in the revolutionary practice,which became a vital part of Mao Zedong thought.The main content of this paper is divided into three parts.The first part discusses the theoretical basis of the formation of Mao Zedong’s Thought on the issue of farmers from 1924 to 1937.The peasant problem thought in the classic works of Marxism Leninism is the direct theoretical source of Mao Zedong’s peasant problem thought from 1924 to 1937,and the peasant thought in the modern Chinese peasant movement and Sun Yat Sen’s peasant thought are also its theoretical source;the practice of solving the land problem by the Communist Party of China before the great revolution and the practice of solving the peasant problem by the Communist Party of China from 1924 to 1937 are its theoretical formation Mao Zedong’s emphasis on the peasant movement and rural investigation is the practical basis of his theory.The second part analyzes the main contents of Mao Zedong’s theory of peasant problems from1924 to 1937,including the analysis of the peasant class,Mao Zedong’s launching and organizing the peasant movement,the improvement of peasants’ production and life,and the ideological education and transformation of peasants.The third part combs and explores the characteristics and significance of Mao Zedong’s Thought on farmers from 1924 to 1937.From 1924 to 1937,Mao Zedong paid much attention to the investigation and research from the beginning of paying attention to the problems of farmers to solving the problems of farmers,and paid more attention to the role of the revolution of farmers while safeguarding the interests of farmers,which were the distinctive characteristics of Mao Zedong’s Thought on the problems of farmers in this period.From 1924 to 1937,Mao Zedong’s Thought on peasants enriched and developed Marxist Leninist thoughts on peasants,laid a foundation for the victory of the Chinese revolution,and also provided a reference for safeguarding the interests of peasants in the new era,implementing targeted poverty alleviation,taking a new path of agricultural cooperation,and implementing the strategy of Rural Revitalization.
