Modern Distance Education Learning Support Services Case Studies

The support services of learning is the sum of information, resources, personnel and facilities support services which is based on the human face Granting of media and technology of teachers and students, or students provided by the distance learning institutions and the representative teachers. The purpose of the support services of learning is to supervise, help, and to improve the students' self-study ability and the efficiency of distance learning.In 1999, the ministry of education initiated network education pilot job, this marked the modern open and distance education development has entered a new stage in our country. At present stage Radio and Television university is the main conduct modern distance education institutions in China. Yunnan Radio and Television university is one of the colleges which are the modern distance education pilot the first time. Yunnan Radio and Television university would undoubtedly become modern distance education in yunnan province, the main position of higher education popularization of yunnan realization become lifelong education system and construction, construction of learning-oriented society indispensable important strength.In this paper, the Yunnan Radio and Television university study support service work for case studies to conduct modern distance education, learning support service work thorough analysis research. The paper discussed modern long distance education, study support service, with students as the center distance learning theory, adult learning theory, remote education teaching and learning theory, "the reorganization of the concern" theory, and compared the support of study in domestic with the support of study in abroad, by analyzing the Yunnan Radio and Television university study support service's basic situation, find out some existing problems, based on this, this paper put forward the construction of support service system thinking. Research used literature and questionnaire for research. Through reading literature, consulting a large number of Yunnan Radio and Television university relevant materials, design study support service work and other methods, administered questionnaires to the theoretical research and material analysis.Based on the survey data collection and analysis, found the support service work of existing problems, such as propaganda work does not reach the designated position; Emotional support is insufficient, allowing students there exist certain loneliness; Students study plan, without his weak, dependence self-study ability strong; the school infrastructure construction of comparative education student improvement, but of these facilities remote the actual utilization rate is not high; teaching resources, low approval of course assessment, teaching resources is not too conforms to the needs of their students, assessment form is not too conforms to the remote education students'characteristics; teachers lack of initiative, communicate and interact with classmates, individualized instruction cannot meet less to the needs of students; students is not too satisfaction with effectiveness and timely of the question which answered by teacher etc, thus puts forward the ideas to improve study support service:to effectively develop modern distance education study support service, onstructing perfect study support service system from the basic requirements, basic principles, basic framework of three aspects at first, and guide students'autonomous learning actively, to ensure that the distance learning support service quality and promoting the remote education career. Hope the research in this paper make some contributions to the development of the modern long distance education study support service of yunnan province and even the whole country.
