Since 21th century, education reform has already started throughout China, new courses have come to our classroom and new educational concept has gradually become an important part of our idea. The new textbooks have been used in different areas and have both successful and failed experience. Because of the new chemical textbooks, some problems about chemical exercises have appeared and many educational professionals started doing some research on it.This paper studied exercise in current high school chemical textbook 1 from the aspects of exercise types, volumes and contents. Chose some schools to do survey about the usage of curriculum exercise and the results showed that the exercise did not match the new textbook. Several problems like the exercise does not show emphasis on students' creativity; and over emphasis on the results not the procedure of education. The writer proposed some new design idea about the chemical exercise in order to provide the teachers and students with better matched chemical exercise and also provided some new ideas about how to design chemical exercise. By using the new chemical exercise, the writer got some feedbacks from the teachers and studentsThis paper can be divided into five parts:First introduced the study background and the problems, then detailed the current study status, the study methodology and the meaning of this study.Second analyzed the exercises which is used in High School Chemical Textbook.Third studied the usage situation of chemical exercise including survey and interview.The fourth part selected Chapter 4, nonmetal and its compounds, to discover the design of chemical exercise.
