The development of English curriculum is a systematic process. English teaching material is the core of curriculum. The teaching materials in the process of indispensable constituent part in English teaching plays a very important role as the system. Selecting and using appropriate English teaching materials is prerequisite for meeting the teaching target and the teaching content.But from current situation of our country,teaching materials being widely used is decided by administrative department of education.So the area I studied.The paper is to evaluatethe New Standard English(for students of Grade seven). Based on the New Curriculum Standard,first to analysis text,then to know the idea of teachers and students to material.Then to know feasibility and effectiveness of the New Standard English(for students of Grade seven)and to put forward the suggestion to teaching material users and teaching material writers.Papers are divided into four chapters, of which the first chapter is mainly to introduce the research background, purpose, significance, both at home and abroad to the teaching material evaluation related research papers about and related concepts of determination. The second chapter is mainly to focus on the textbooks analysis, including textbook compilation of the structure, the principles of compiling the teaching material and language,language learning and language teaching theory.The third chapter analyzes and summarizes the teachers and the students in the new standard of teaching evaluation. The fourth part is based on collected data analysis and sorting, from teaching target, cognitive and psychological development regularity, language knowledge and language skills, the compilation of textbooks and teaching level five dimensions for overall feasibility analysis and evaluation. The fifth chapter is the conclusion of the research.It mainly summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of textbooks and provide suggestion to material users and material editors.
