Generative teaching under the background of the new curriculum reform is a new kind of new-type teaching model. It opposes to the traditional teaching which is based on the achievement of knowledge. It believes classroom teaching is a process in which teachers and students take good participation.In the process, the vitality of teachers and students could be stimulated. It means a lot to the changing of the traditional teaching which is monotonous, formal and mechanized. In the process of generative teaching, teachers will take effectively generated teaching content as the whole class teaching new teaching and the starting point, according to the different teaching situations, break the original teaching programs, generate new teaching process, in order to achieve dynamically generated process. At the same time, generative teaching can meet students'needs of independent and exploratory learning, so that it can create new vitality in the whole class teaching.This article starting from high school geography analyzes the generative teaching. The article is divided into four parts:the first part analyzes the theory of generative teaching, ineluding the research background,the research meaning, the domestic and foreign research status and trends, research ideas and methods.The seeond part explores the basic meaning and the theoretical foundation of the generative teaching, summarizes the features of the generative teaching, the role of teacher and student in the teaching process,the principles of the generative teaching in geography, and provides the basic theory and methodology support for the entire study.The third part depending on the basis of front part of the generative teaching theory, Combining with the characteristics of geographical subject itself, analyzes the exploitation, the capture, the selection, the use of the geographical generative resources.After the teaching Practices, the forth part summarizes and prospects this research topic, gains experiences and summarizes shortage in the process.
