Education has a great of strength in the liberation of humanity, the research of gender consciousness is endowed in education, education is viewed from gender and critical perspective, it play a important role in achieving democracy and equality in society. So the research of gender consciousness is given in education.It emphasis on gender consciousness of teachers. Because teachers are the key to success in education and the most direct promulgato,provider and participant to carry out of gender-equality education.The shape of good gender consciousness for the teachers will directly affect the generation, and even the update of social gender consciousness. So I believe it is important and necessary for teachers to have good gender consciousness, it is helpful to achieve democracy and equality in educationThe paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction which states the origin of question and describe the research purposes and methods and research process, related research on the gender theory.The second part analyzes the social gender theory, and the related concepts, explain the physical sex and gender. The core concept "social gender consciousness" is proposed in this paper; Describes the content of gender theory, meaning, and understanding of social gender education; Concluds the enlighentment of the theory to educational practice in China.The third part is the gender consciousness status of primary school teachers in Nanjing. Compared with gender consciousness of teacher in different gender, age, education background, analyze and draw conclusions. Analyzes the shape of teacher's wrong gender consciousness, and the impact on the development of students' schoolwork, personality, creativity and mental health.The forth part is the last.the author put forward the necessary and the measure to develop teachers'gender consciousness. First, analyzes the development trend of China's education, the exist of gender inequalities in the field of education. second, the states of the teachers education and the value of teachers'gender consciousness. then the author give the strategies from the teacher education, textbooks and teaching strategies.In short, the formation of teachers'social gender consciousness will be a long and complex process, it requires the joint efforts of all sides. Teachers should strive to become education and social gender researcher, a facilitator of social gender eduation and gender equity spokesman. Only if teachers have social gender consciousness, and reflect it on their teaching practice, can they have an incentive to be achieve gender equity.
