With the development of network technology and the expansion of the influence of Constructivist Learning Theory, the online learning has been accepted by more people. It is developing into a major teaching and learning methods in the current and future. But online learning is still in development in the current, has not form a complete and mature system. All the problem in practice can be attributed to the effectiveness.There are many factors affect the effectiveness of the online learning, include teaching philosophy, resources, technology, learners, teachers etc. Among these factors, peoples pay more and more attention to the teacher. However, in the current study, it is difficult to clarify the role of teachers in online learning, and the responsibility of teachers lack clear and uniform definition. This further leads to lack of attention to online teachers professional skills. So in online teaching practice, online teacher lack of professional skills, direct impact on the effectiveness of teaching and learning.From the point of online teachers'role, this study thinks the teaching role is the primary role of online teachers, and the facilitation role is the primary role of teaching role. Defined and classified the facilitation skills of online teachers, and elaborated purpose and operating principles of the facilitation skills. In the practice phase, we waited a facilitation skills handbook, spread and applied by online teachers. And preliminary evaluated the online teachers'facilitation skill through feedback.
