Ph.D. Thesis is an important symbol to measure the quality of doctoral students,It can reflect Ph.D.'s professional knowledge, theory foundation, academic level and research ability .Choosing the topic is an important step which determines the content and value of your thesis.The research sample of this thesis is 313 higher education professional Ph.D. Thesis published in 2001-2010 years from wanfang - China dissertation full-tert database. In order to offer reference for doctoral supervisor and future higher education PhD, I use the quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to discuss the current situation of higher education Ph.D. Thesis topic. This thesis contains five parts. The first part is an introduction about the reason and significance of my research, research thinking, the relevant concept definition, innovation and deficiencies of my thesis. The second part introduces sample selection method, sample basic situation, analysis framework and research methods;The third part analyse the current situation of higher education Ph.D. Thesis topic from two dimensions of research field and research levels ,and furthermore summarize the characteristic of the higher education Ph.D. Thesis; The fourth part takes the 210 papers published by the higher education quarterly journal as typical case, to analyze the current situation of the British higher education subject characteristics from two dimensions of research field and research levels;At last according to the current situation of our high education Ph.D. Thesis topics, on the basis of research papers subject of British higher education ,the author puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to improve the higher education Ph.D. Thesis subject.
