The main purpose of this research is to formulate one set of university tutors burnout inventory and occupational commitment scale based on great amount of literature review and interview of related personnel, then apply the questionnaire survey, use the obtained data to illustrates the overall level of university tutor occupational burnout and commitment, also figure out their relativity through correlation analysis.Before formally carrying out the survey, we examined the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. The result showed that both the reliability and validity of the questionnaire are high enough, which confirmed the availability of our self-compiled scale as a measurement tool. The 220 subjects of this research are picked up randomly from 13 universities within the province, either from key universities or non-key universities, including both male and female, which ensured the strong Representativeness of the subjects.Three main conclusions can be got from this research:(1) Among all the subjects,8.8% were in a serious professional burnout status, 51.8% felt a normal level of professional burnout,28.9% showed a slight burnout feeling, which means 89.5% of the subjects are in a burnout status regardless the severity, compare to only 10.5% of the subject don't feel burnout;(2) The occupational commitment of university tutors are just at normal range while the persistence of commitment is relatively high;(3)The occupational burnout and commitment of university tutors are apparently negatively correlated.At the end of this research, we raised a series of strategies according to our survey result aim to decrease the level of professional burnout and rise up the degree of commitment of university tutors, to standardize and improve the team construction of the university tutors.
