U.S Youthful Citizenship Education To China's Quotation And Enlightenment

The citizenship education has decisive effect to the inner quality or people. That is the reason why we take citizenship education as one of the most important basic projects for social morality and sense of worth. With the great results we got in the economic construction, our moral standards are creeping down, social order became confused, credit system suffered crisis, and the laws breaking is growing. Those social problems made that to build a harmonious society is an active demand. On the other hand, to have a look from the whole picture, we need democratic political system to realize the great rejuvenation of our nation. It is also one of the most important driving forces for our development. For that, we need our citizens to join the society actively and rationally. Training qualified citizens is a long haul, it is need a widen view and a long-term thought. Our country has longstanding culture and tradition, we took rule by men for a long time, and the crucial point is to launch citizenship education to people, to spread modern awareness of the obligations of citizens.Nowadays, our country has in the transformation period from planned economy to market economy. Citizens in our country now have more and more social rights, economic rights and political rights, those changes made people have stronger awareness of the obligations of citizens, it also increased the enthusiasm and ability of people to join the social affairs and political life. Meanwhile, the changes also need our citizens have some proper knowledge of citizen, so strengthen and popular the citizenship education have very important realistic meanings.The U.S. is one of the earliest countries to carry out the youthful citizenship education, with the developing of theories and methods of citizenship education, the way of citizenship education became more diverse and more effective, in this article, I analyzed the methods of U.S. youthful citizenship education from the Service Learning, classroom teaching and social environment parts. Through learning from other countries, especially from the methods of the U.S. youthful citizenship education, by analysis and selecting the essence, to train the patriotic sentiment, national pride and self-confidence of our youth. The research contents of this article have great quotation and enlightenment of our modern real life, hoping that it can encourage more scholars to do some research on this field.Based on the need of the research contents and tasks, this article used the methods of document analysis, factor analysis, model methodology and comparison. By contrasting the differences between the Chinese and the American, give some enlightenment on the parts of curriculum provision, civic rights and responsibilities, also, the way of education. I hope that it can offer some information and basis for our citizenship education of youth in our country.
