Cultural Symbols Of China's Higher Education

In December 2003, the National Educational Science Planning Leading Group approved,"Construction of advanced culture in the University Cultural Studies "project was officially listed as the key national issues of the National Education Science "Tenth Five Plan ", which began the academic community of higher education Culture of higher education. The next decade, Cultural studies of higher education increasingly lucrative, research field become widen, level of study change deepen, and know the practice of institutions of higher school culture. Along with the "Twelve Five-Year Plan" opened the prelude, "National long-term education reform and Development Plan" have started and stressed the importance of culture in higher education in the file, so cultural research has been further strengthened. We have pay more attention gradually on the cultural symbols in cultural studies of higher education, but now fully in cultural symbols as a starting point of the research results are still rare.By comparison, literature, case law and the historical method to study the cultural symbols,this article attempts to culture as the background of higher education, to do a comparative study about cultural symbols of higher education. It is designed to express the characteristics and content of cultural symbols of higher education at home and abroad, and pointed out the differences and convergence between the two, in order to know exchange and tolerance about higher education cultural in the context of globalization. Finally, we should combine the actual construction of higher education culture, from the perspective of the campus building of cultural symbols, and correspond development of strategies for the real need of services. There are some issues about the current cultural construction, so we must raise cultural awareness, create a campus culture, expand campus culture symbols and strengthen the campus culture of innovation.
