As the current status of China in the world improve gradually has made it so that Chinese is one of the most common working languages within the United Nations, in terms of trade, investment, tourism, education and so forth. These sectors greatly affect the world and play an increasingly important role internationally. During ancient times, China was once named "state of ceremonies" for its long history and splendid culture to attract the attention of people around the world and this has been on going throughout history, especially in recent years. "Chinese fever" is the recent phenomenon that has began to spread around the world which has caused many countries to adopt the teaching of Chinese as part of their language course. This phenomenon is especially prominent with countries within Southeast Asia such as Thailand where Chinese language courses have been set up from as early as kindergarten schools.The number of Chinese learners is increasing year by year.Culture has a very important role when teaching the Chinese language. In this paper for example, the researcher will study the teaching methods and the interests levels of Chinese in Satreeprasetsin School based in Thailand, Trat, and analyze the shortcomings and deficiencies, And proposed the corresponding solution ways. The research analyzes the students’ favorite Chinese cultural symbols and designs the "Chinese Culture Camp" activity which is interested in students in this school, so as to achieve the purpose of improving students’ Chinese proficiency.This article uses three research discussion methods, literature research, questionnaires and interviews. In this paper, there are a total of six chapters, including: Chapter 1:Introduction:The purpose of the topic and the significance of teaching the theory of cultural studies, the teaching conditions at Satreeprasertsin School, the research content and methods used. Chapter 2:Research of the current status of Satreeprasertsin School teachings of Chinese:Analysis of Satreeprasertsin School basic situation for teaching Chinese (resources available, staff, etc.), Introduction of Satreeprasertsin School Chinese cultural teaching; Chapter 3:About the concept of the Chinese cultural symbols survey:the definition of "culture" when teaching Chinese as a second language, the methodology behind choosing the Chinese cultural symbols; Chapter 4:Satreeprasertsin School Chinese cultural symbols survey results and analysis of the Chinese learners favorite cultural symbols:Satreeprasertsin School students favorite Chinese cultural symbols survey result and analysis, Satreeprasertsin School students think the most 10 Chinese representative cultural symbols survey result and analysis, Teaching suggestions about students favorite Chinese cultural symbols; Chapter5:"Chinese Culture Camp" activity design and implementation:"Chinese Culture Camp" activity event design, "Chinese Culture Camp" campaign activities implementation phase, "Chinese Culture Camp" campaign issues that need attention and the solutions; Chapter 6:Conclusion.Teaching Chinese culture is an integral part of foreign language teaching, but research on the status quo of Chinese culture teaching shows that in secondary schools in Thailand it is very low, it was very difficult to find the related literature, not only that but universities, primary schools and secondary schools in Thailand seemed to undergo a similar situation regarding to the lack of Chinese cultural teachings.As a volunteer Chinese teacher at this school, it was good opportunity to do the survey. I hope this paper benefits those who would like to research further into this subject.
