Study On The Psychological Empowerment Of Community Members'

As a hot topic in the research area of organizational behavior and management psychology, psychological empowerment has an effective and important influence on individual's working performance. The research in Western countries focused on company staff, based on the management empowerment. Their research is overall, from psychological empowerment influencing factor,consequence factors models. But research on psychological empowerment in China is mostly conducted from the pedagogical perspective. The research on community members'psychological empowerment is shortage.Based on the community reality in China and previous studies on psychological empowerment, we had obtained a psychometrical sound scale to measure community members'psychological empowerment; the characteristics of the community members' psychological empowerment in China were explored; the relationship between community members'psychological empowerment subjective well-being,self-esteem was examined. The main findings are as follows:Firstly, community members'psychological empowerment was a three-facet structure, including community members'internal factor of psychological empowerment,community members and environment interactional factor of psychological empowerment community members'behavioral factor of psychological empowerment.Secondly, community members'psychological empowerment was significantly related with self-esteem, and self-esteem could be predictive of community members' psychological empowerment.Thirdly, community members'psychological empowerment be predictive of subjective well-being. The higher level of community members'psychological empowerment, The higher level of subjective well-being.
