The Countermeasure Study On The Promotion And Development Of Shanghai Community Sports By 2010 Shanghai World Expo

As sport is part of people's life, and with the development of the society and the improvement of people's living standard as well as the enhancement of health awareness, the idea that " Mixing Sport into Life" has been recognized by most people. The community sport is the product of the society when it develops to a certain stage. Besides, with the development of society and economy, the community sport is not only a type of organization which can facilitate the physical and psychological health of society members, but also a key to constructing a harmonious community. Community sport has already become the main battleground in our country to carry out "the National Fitness Program"Shanghai World Expo is a large-scale international exhibition. The five to six years'preparation, half a years'(184 days) exhibition duration and a direct investment of four billion Yuan surely will play an important role on boosting various industries in Shanghai, including the community sport. This paper is based on the related sociology theories and plenty of the first-hand data, and adopts research method of visiting, interview and questionnaire to study how Shanghai Expo promotes the development of the community sport. Through researches and analyses we discover that in recent years, especially since the successful bid of the World Expo, Shanghai community sport develops faster and faster which includes the enhancing atmosphere of community sport, the increase of community sports fields and facilities, the enhancing of residents' awareness to participate in the sports, the increase of community's sports population and improvements of community sport management and services. However, on expending the financial sourcing of community sport, as well as constructing an efficient management and community sport service team, there are a lot of things that need to be done.This study aims at providing a reference for keeping the health development of community after the World Expo. This paper concludes that with the success of World Expo, the community sport in Shanghai should pay attention to the following aspects in order to maintain its sustainable development. First, we should reinforce the publicity of the community sport and create a good community sport atmosphere. Second, we need to perfect community sport management system and establish an effective and long-term management mechanism. In addition, we should well integrate various resources and make full use of them. What's more, we should find more ways to raise money and try to practice paid service. Last but not least, we should find more ways and strengthen the construction of the community sport service team.
