The successful arrangement of the World Expo has given all Chinesepeople and people from all over the world a deep impression. Variouscommunication among nations made everyone have a good harvestin culture, art, and technology,etc. We questioned the quality of ourcitizens the same time we were shocked by hi-tech and multi-culture.Especially we meet our "post-World Expo " era next. So we work out ahigher requirement, the advance of Education for World Citizenship, forour normal education. We can t just take notice of the current benefit,and we should pay more attention to our society and our future inhopes of achieve more scientific and harmonious development.World Citizenship education is an education based on democraticsociety–to meet the needs of the Globalization Time, which is based onthe needs for the development of the school education and inheritingtradition. Its taken as the means to cultivate the new national qualifiedcitizens, meanwhile, its also the education issues concerned by theworld.The essay is based on the spirit of the party s17,“The centralcommittee of the communist party of the state council on furtherstrengthening and improving minors construction of morals and thoughtof some Suggestions” and guided by "second version " concept anddepends on “The national spirit education students guidelines”. Theessay aims to research how the students improve their moral quality inthe era of "post-World Expo ", how to enhance citizens consciousnessand how to develop educational ideas of World Citizenship to promotecomprehensive qualities of students. The research begins with theanalyses of students’ feature to carry out the research on the contentsfor World Citizenship education and strategy with the golden time ofthe World Expo. We can promote the development of students and improve the education of schools.The essay followed the research on traditional citizenshipeducation among the students and did investigations and research inmany schools to learn about their way and thought on the WorldCitizenship. Then I did some research on the challenge which schoolsbrought for the school education, aimed at various students’ problemsafter the World Expo.The essay includes five chapters to state the World Citizenshipeducation in schools after the World Expo. The first chapter states thatthe research background and the purpose and significance of theresearch for the World Citizenship education, which have us enrich theeducational resources of the world citizenship and pursue moreeffective educational activities of school citizens to promote it and toraise the moral level of the students by using this chance and theplatform of the "post-World Expo era".The second chapter talks about the development of WorldCitizenship education, which establishes its content and target byexperiencing a longer developing course. It arouses thinking of peoplefrom the angle of knowledge, acknowledge, value, ability and attitude.And it can be found that it is a kind of lifelong education, a kind ofdeveloping education and a combination of education, humanity andpolitics, aimed at present situation.The third chapter is about the World Expo and the middle schools’World Citizenship education. With the opening up of the World Expo,the World Citizenship education welcomed a good opportunity. Peopleare becoming aware of the urge of the education of it. Schools formadiversity of the trinity education mode of “school-family-society” fromthe classroom in order to cultivate the citizens who have responsibilities,tolerance, respect for difference and participate in the development ofsociety. Multi-culture’s meet each other speed up the education and the development of a spirit of innovation pushed the education. Sosociety is eager to promote citizens’ quality by the its education.The fourth chapter talks about the World Citizenship education of"post-World Expo ". The citizens of the era have a new feature with thefast development of the global times. We perform vivid, activeeducation, which teachers through lively activities, aimed at thestudents’ cognition characteristic. The students improve themselvesfrom practice that they are inspired by the life to pursue passion out ofclass. What every school emphasizes is understanding education,peace education, environment education, humanity education. Fromall schools I visited in different districts in Shanghai, schools improve theactual effect on the World Citizenship education by means of thechance of the World Expo.The last chapter is the reflection based on the classification of theeducation in different schools. In “Post-World Expo”, China producedCitizenship Educationwhich is adapted to the development of the world and ourclassroom and Social practice stage are wider and wider with thefurther of the education in which students improved their literacy andteachers improved their moral ability. And meanwhile I rethink the lackin education, which is heavy educational work and is required tocontinue to research and pursue.
