Mind map is an approach which embodies divergent thinking and guides students in constructing the knowledge system on their own. It is a tool of specifying one's radioactive thinking which contains synthesized utilization of characters, marks, pictures, colors and so on. It benefits developing students'innovative thinking, as well as enhancing the quality of their innovation. It has been an important tool in developing and improving students'thinking quality and guiding students'creative thinking.This research aims at discussing how to apply Mind map in junior high school, to help students effectively study and increase the students'creative thinking, interest and achievements in learning. It urges them to remember, understand and imply biology knowledge better. We employ various research methods such as literature method, interview method, questionnaire method etc. with experimentation method as the main method.The research indicates Mind map can enable students to master the memorizing contents of biology, promote the cultivation of students'thinking quality and they can make progress in their study.So it is effective and feasible to apply Mind map in biology teaching in Grade eight.
