Modern society is more and more concerning with the mental health problem of student in middle school ,the related research shows that the mental health problem is serious recently,especially the academic burnout. It need the community's concern.. There are many factors affecting the academic burnout of the middle school students, such as the academic self-efficacy,learning stress,study attribution and so on . Perfectionism also can affect the academic burnout by self-efficacy. Therefore this study uses questionnaires to 650 junior middle school students from Chang Chun city .And the study aims at understanding how academic self-efficacy and perfectionism affect junior middle school students'academic burnout and their interaction mechanism. Then build a relationship model of them. The results are as follows:1. There does exists academic burnout among junior middle school students. The students have significant gender and grade differences between academic burnout as a whole and its'aspects , except the physical exhaustion.2. Junior middle school students'academic burnout has a significantly negative correlation to academic self-efficacy.3. Junior middle school students'academic burnout has a significantly negative correlation to adaptive perfectionism ,but has a significantly positive correlation to maladaptive perfectionism.4. Junior middle school students'academic self-efficacy has a significantly positive correlation to adaptive perfectionism ,but has a significantly negative correlation to maladaptive perfectionism.5. Academic self-efficacy of junior middle school students plays an intermediary role between the perfectionism and academic burnout.6. The model shows that :junior middle school students'academic self-efficacy and perfectionism can forecast academic burnout in a positive way; the adaptive and maladaptive perfectionism both can forecast directly academic burnout, also can indirectly forecast academic burnout through the academic self-efficacy.
