| High school students are in the early stage of youth,under the greatest learning pressure of the life,have the most concentrated learning tasks.The psychological development of the high school students is in the initial stage of the formation of stable personality traits,that is,as the saying goes,character will be formed.In this stage,if we can establish good learning habits,learning attitude,learning behavior,no doubt it will have a good effect on the development of individual at high school and even after.But the reality is that many high school students still have a lot of unhealthy personality traits and academic habits,more common,such as learning delay.Whether in school or holiday self-study,face with the learning tasks,many high school students have the habit of procrastination which caused lower-learning efficiency and lower levels of academic achievement,and even made someone feel anxiety,self-deprecating.In recent years,many studies have demonstrated that procrastination often accompanied with perfectionism,procrastination is also influenced by academic self-efficacy.there are a lot of studies about perfectionism,self-efficacy and academic procrastination,but mostly of them concentrated among college students and junior high school students,so in this research,made the senior high school students as the research object,study the relationships of the above three variables,The purpose of this study was to provide a better understanding of the link between perfectionism and academic procrastination by examining the role of academic self-efficacy as a mediator in the relationship.In this study,we chose the academic procrastination inventory for middle school students compiled by Zuo,Chang(2010),Chinese Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale revised by Zi(2006),the learning self-efficacy questionnaire compiled by Ceng(2008)as the research tool.We received 594 valid questionnaires from three grades of the three local high schools;Conclusions are drawn as follows after the statistical analysis:1 senior high school students have a moderate level of perfectionism.There was a significant difference in the total score of perfectionism;Girls’ perfectionism scores were significantly higher than those of boys.In the dimension of action hesitation,male students scored significantly lower than girls’,which girls showed up more hesitant performance in action.In the perfectionism and all of its dimensions,There was no difference between the three grades of senior high school.2 Senior high school students academic self-efficacy was at a moderate level.The boys’ level of academic self-efficacy was significantly higher than girls.And the boys’ academic ability self-efficacy was significantly higher than girls.There was no sex difference between academic behavior self-efficacy.The level of academic self-efficacy and its two dimensions is significantly higher than that of the senior grade one,and there is no difference between the senior grade two and grade three.3 The senior high school students’ level of academic procrastination was at a moderate degree.There was no significant difference in the total score of academic procrastination between the boys and girls.But the score of postponing executing of the boys’ were significantly higher than the girls’.The total score of the grade one students in academic procrastination was significantly higher than the grade three students’.In the postponing executing dimension,the level of grade one students’ was significantly higher than the grade two students’,the score of the postponing remedying of grade one students was significantly higher than the grade two’s and grade three’s.That demonstrated the grade one students are more inclined to academic procrastination than the grade two’s and grade three’s.4 Senior high school students’ positive perfectionism and academic self-efficacy was positively correlated,with academic procrastination was negatively correlated.There was no significant correlation between high school students’ negative perfectionism and academic self-efficacy,and between high school students’ negative perfectionism and academic procrastination.Academic self-efficacy and academic procrastination was negatively correlated.5 The positive perfectionism negatively predicted academic procrastination.Positive perfectionism was significantly positive predicted academic self-efficacy.Academic self-efficacy and its two dimensions were played partial mediating roles between the relationships of positive perfectionism and academic procrastination.Learning ability efficiency was played a partial mediating role between the positive perfectionism and the four dimensions of the academic procrastination.Academic self-efficacy and the learning behavior efficiency were played completely intermediary roles between the positive perfectionism and learning delay,they were played partial mediating roles between the positive perfectionism and the other three dimensions of academic procrastination. |
