Textbooks as the carrier of teaching idea and teaching content play an important role in promoting students'development. The text provides some enlightenment for compilation of chemistry textbook of our high school through comparing high school chemistry textbooks of China and Australian, anglicizing compilation characteristics of overseas textbooks, referencing successful experience about the chemistry textbooks compilation for high school. This text studies China's chemical material of high school ,the basic standard experimental textbook---Chemistry compulsory course①and compulsory course②,(Shandong Science And Technology Publishing ,2007version)and Australian Chemistry textbooks of high school of Victoria《Nelson Chemistry VCE unit3 and unit4》(2007 version).This text consists of three parts. In part 1,it shows clearly the reason and significance of selecting this topic,situation of study about this topic and contents and methods of this topic research. In part 2,it compares our country's curriculum standard with Curriculum Standards of Victoria form angles which are Curriculum Concept, Course Goal and Course Content .I draw conclusion that two countries'Curriculum Standard are similar, for example two countries'Curriculum Goal are nearly similar, just our countries'curriculum standard expound Curriculum Goal in detail from three angles which are"the knowledge and skills","the process and the method", and"attitudes and values",but Australia Course Goal has total eleven items without specific classification. In part 3, it analyses and compares system of textbooks, choice of textbooks'contents and mode of appearance of the textbooks'content and various characteristics of textbooks.
