From the beginning of the twentieth century to the twenty first century, in face the development of the globalization and information, then the new demands for talents in the ear, hope that develop the ability and personality with the education reform, to be the citizen that has te international competitiveness. In the 1990s, our country carry out the Quality-oriented education reform. But our education has gap with the reality, and our teaching are unitary. When the class over, students are not deep memories for the knowledge. Our teaching is mechanical reproduction the knowledge, students often remember the formula and law, but in real life is hard to practice, can't solve the real problems. In the pressure of the examination, students start to suspect that the knowledge has value, so lose the interest. The lack of the interest in learning is torture. In order to this situation, we should explore the new teaching methods. In the 1980s, the rise of all-around develop in primary and secondary education, that not only stimulated the enthusiasm and creativity of the teachers, but also improves the development of problem-based learning China. In my article, introduce that the problem-based learning implied in the elementary education of the United State from the theory and practice, hope that it can offer some beneficial enlightenment for the develop of the problem-based learning in China.My paper is divided into five parts: In the chapter of introduction mainly introduction that it include: the reasons of selected this topic, and the situation and reach methods. The first chapter is a overview of the problem-based learning from four aspects introduce the problem-based learning. It include: the concept of problem-based learning , the generation, based theory and characteristics. In second chapter, discusses the necessity, goal of study and the channel of application of problem-based learning in elementary education of United State. Chapter third presents the program of the problem-based learning by the a case that it imply in elementary education of United Stated, summarize the characters of imply the problem-based learning by the case. The last chapter is analysis the result of imply the problem-based learning and the extant question in problem-based learning.
