ICT as a network media has rapid expanded to diverse areas with the times and advancement of technology, and has became an important component of the development of modern society. At present, many areas from home and abroad has worked on the research of ICT, United Kingdom, United States, Singapore and other countries are also put ICT into different field, and has made pleasant results.The classroom teaching of general knowledge course has made a lot of requirements to teachers in the art institutions. It's mainly reflected in teaching content and practical teaching. Teaching content should give expression to a targeted, comprehensive and effective organization of teaching. Practical classroom activities emphasize the design, organization and control mode. The ultimate aim is to stimulate the interest of students, develop their motivation to learn, and train their self-learning ability.The paper aims to optimize the education quality and develop the students'interest and motivation through the questions concluded and thoughts of the general trend of ICT's application during teaching in Arts schools. It also accumulates the teaching experience from the examination of the ICT's effectiveness in specific educational practice and experiment and the analysis of both ICT's strength and weakness.
