With the continuous advance of the new curriculum reform, many scholars appeal to concentrating on the classroom and reconstructing classroom to change the dull and boring situation of the present English classes formed over a long period. They call for active and effective interaction between teachers and students in high school English classes and develop together in order to achieve the classroom dynamic generation, stimulating classroom vitality. Interaction between teachers and students has been one of the extremely important teaching thoughts. However, as for the present stage practice about the English classroom in teacher- student interaction, the valid aspect still had comparatively according to my more than 10 years'teaching practice, which greatly affect English teaching.The thesis aims to analyse the problems and reasons in the interaction between teachers and students in high school English classes and explore some effective strategies so as to promote the English teaching and learning quality on the basis of research results of the interaction between teachers and students from at home and abroad, using literature, observation and interviews. The thesis put class observation on English listening and speaking,reading, writing and grammar, which is a different angle from other similar study.The thesis can be divided into five chapters. The first chapter is about the background, significance,contents and methods of the study; The second chapter is review of library collection as well as classroom interaction theory basis;The third chapter is about class observation and analysis;The fourth chapter discusses the characteristics and the effective strategies of the interaction between teachers and students in high school English classes. The effective interaction between teachers and students has some obvious characteristics, that is strong sense of purpose, sophisticated methods consciousness, reasonable evaluation consciousness, the joyful emotion consciousness and multiple mutual object consciousness.Some strategies can be taken to promote teacher-student effective interaction, including strengthening the theory study to update the teaching and evaluation idea, studying English teaching concept, task and goal to set up anticipated goal, selecting delicate teaching methods, creating comfortable and pleasant classroom teaching environment and paying full attention on every student; The fifth part is case analyses, sharing the successful English classroom factual record.
