According to the characteristics of information processing, we divided the several reading ways into three kinds of reading patterns:natural reading, listen to read type reading and strategic reading.Natural reading includes two kinds of circumstances, the first, children read picture books orderly and completely, but in the information processing children is passive; The second circumstance, children browse the picture books, and in the processing children can not read orderly and completely through paging picture book random. The definition about Listen to read type reading is that adults help the children with vivid ways, the children listen and observation the adults while drawing picture books. The definition about the strategic reading is the children can understand the focus information and coherent information under the help of adults, and get the experiential understand in the specific situation.Early reading is not only connected with reading ways, but also connect with the object, the picture books and the behavior of the adults. So we must define the reading object, analyses the structure of content and its meaning; According to the characteristics of reading object, content, we can use appropriate strategies to help children attain coherent information and focus information, but also use audio game, role-play to help children produce direct experience; Only combined symbols and experiential which based for body moving, can children understand the whole meaning of picture books.We choose picture—book for experimental material, which is the most common in the practice of early reading. We chose 99 children in the C kindergarten for the experiment (including 51 children in the preliminary test and 48children in the official test).Try to understand the characteristics of information processing and the effect of the early reading.This experiment using homemade scale, the reliability of the scale is alpha= 0.910. According to the factor analysis, we extract three factors after rotating. The extraction sums of squared lodaings of the three factors accounted for more than 64%. Therefore the scale has certain reliability and validity.The experiment shows that the difference between natural reading and strategic reading was larger; The difference between natural reading and listen to read type reading was larger; The difference between strategic reading and listen to read type reading was larger. The results of the experimental also show that the gender differences in children's reading comprehension with marginal significant effect. The study concluded through the experiment is that:First, the information processing characteristics of natural reading is that the natural reading natural is no clear purpose of reading. And in the process of reading children can not reasoning and fail to complete a coherent reading. Natural reading is at the stage of surface characterization. Children can not achieve experiential understanding by natural reading.Second, the information processing characteristics of listen to read type reading is that it has purpose of reading. In the reading process,children can produce automated reasoning and achieve the purpuse of coherent reading. Listen to read type reading is at the stage of surface characterization and basal article. Children can not achieve experiential understanding by natural reading commpletely.Third, the information processing characteristics of strategic reading is that it has clear purpose of reading. In the reading process, children can produce strategic reasoning, achieve the purpuse of coherent reading,and construct the complete model of reading situations. Strategic reading adapts dual process of reading, which include Coherent reading and focus reading. Strategic reading is at the stage of surface characterization, basal article and Situation model. Children can achieve experiential understanding by natural reading.
