The School Regional Variations Analysis Of The Geographic Education Of Guangzhou And Heyuan

In different areas, education takes on regional differences under the influence of social, economical and natural elements. Due to the different teacher resources, allocation of instructional resources, learners, education environment, curriculum and textbooks, education differs from each other in different regions as regard to teaching model, methodology etc.. This is the same as Geography teaching. Thus conducting investigations on regional differences of Geography instruction seems much necessary since the effect is much too far-reaching around the world. Owing to the uneven development of economy, Geography education in secondary schools differs greatly from areas to areas in Guangdong province. However, this phenomenon is not not much studied theoretically in the previous researches. And judging from the information collected. I find that there is not any academic book or paper published on differences of Geography teaching between Guangzhou and Heyuan. So the present study attempts to explore the differences of Geography teaching between Guangzhou and Heyuan. With a comprehensive use of document retrieval, questionnaire, statistic analysis technique, the author first analysed the differences of Geography instruction between Guagnzhou and Heyuan, including teachers' profession, learner themselves, teaching facilities, assessment etc., then explored the factors, such as curriculum, textbook, teaching resources, teaching approach, environment etc.. At last strategies to reduce those differences and to promote common development were proposed by the author.
