With the deepening of educational reform and the promotion of quality-oriented education, China's education has got some achievements. Education is the cornerstone for the revitalization of our nation, and the education fairness represents an important base for the social fairness. As people's knowledge level is being gradually advanced, their equal awareness is also increasing. Education fairness is becoming a focus of the whole society. China is a large agricultural nation. In a certain sense, the key to realizing the long-term progress and development in rural areas is rural education. However, the problems of education fairness in Chinese rural areas are very serious because of insufficient investment in education and the deviation of educational policy. Taking the education of Daguan District, Anqing City as an example, the thesis analyzes the general current situation of education fairness in Chinese rural areas and discusses the causes of unbalanced development between urban and rural education. Based on some successful practical achievements of education fairness in foreign countries, the thesis puts forward some suggestions to solve the problems of the fairness in rural areas so as to realize the harmonious development between urban and rural areas.There are four chapters in this thesis in addition to the last word. The first chapter elaborates the research background, purpose and meaning, content and method, etc. The second chapter states the connotation of education fairness and its basic characteristics. The third chapter analyzes the present development of Chinese education fairness and discusses some reasons for education unfairness by analyzing the current educational situation of Daguan District, Anqing City. The fourth chapter expounds some policies and measures of solving the problems of education fairness, which are effective in foreign countries. The fourth chapter puts forward some suggestions, which are linked with China's actual situation, to promote education fairness in China's rural areas. In short, education fairness is a long-term historical task and is a continuous development process in history. We need the cooperation of our government, society, school and family members to realize education fairness.
