With the maturation of education psychology and cognitive psychology, researchers gradually realize that students don't came into classrooms with empty minds. In other words, they are not totally unaware of what they will learn. Some of their cognition are generally accepted as scientific cognition, while others are not. The cognition which deviate froms scientific cognition is known as deviated cognition. Many studies have shown that some of the students' deviated cognition seems to follow the same role, and have great impact on their following study . A great deal of research on the original deviated cognition of learners has been carried out in math , science and other fields. As an emerging subject, information technology plays a more and more important role in the curriculum system. Does deviated cognition exist before students get down to learn ? If it does exist, are there any roles that can be followed? In order to answer these questions, the author started this research. To verify the feasibility of this study, the researchers chose questionnaire, after which the formal study followed. In formal study, some concepts are chosen from the standards of technology curriculum of general high school, and two surveys were done through open and half-opened questionnaire. The concepts on which the students hold deviated cognition were obtained in the first survey, the results of which were used to format the second one and the reasons of deviated cognition were found. After analyzing the reasons, the author proposed some suggestions for teaching. The results of this study are as follows:1. Before their formal learning, high school students hold typical and regular deviated cognition on such six concepts as computer viruses , domain name, dynamic pages, algorithm, procedures, database .2. The causes of deviated cognition can be summarized as follows: (1) the intuition and imagination (2) the influence of daily life experience (3) meaning association of words, or understand literally (4) the confusion between concepts (5) the influence of obtained knowledge (6) insufficiency of the discipline (7) analogy companions (8) influence of companion culture.3.The research also discovered that the deviated cognition is universal, subjectivity, categorical, distributive and other characteristics.
