Chemistry is a natural science based on experiments, so in chemistry teaching it is one main task of junior high school chemistry experiment teaching to cultivate students' experimental ability, but now the junior high school chemistry experiment has many difficulties. These difficulties are widespread, including the difficulties to complete experimental steps, experiments' long period, its high cost, its dangerous operations. In addition, experimental phenomena are difficult to observe and the microscopic phenomena can't be shown; experimental principles or phenomena are not easy to understand; the basic principles contained in experiments are not easy to expand to the actual life; in order to tell clearly experimental principles or phenomena, we need repeatedly to do experiments anytime or do demonstrative experiments; we need repeated comparison to identify experimental steps; experimental procedures are prone to make errors or are not standard, etc. Ideal Institute of Information and Technology in NENU has developed chemistry experimental teaching platform of junior middle school. the platform realizes making chemistry experimental software tools and virtual on the basis of its fundamental points of actual need of the teaching and common integration points of the subject and it's central point of supporting self-directed learning And Inquiry learning activities. This platform can support chemistry experiment teaching activities in an all-around way. That is to say it can help teachers preparing-classes, interactive teaching, and organizing teaching work. What's more, it can help students developing independent learning, cooperative leaning, Inquiry learning and research learning, training and testing. At present it has been applied in teaching. And how effective is it? Has it really solve the difficulties of experimental teaching? The thesis takes this platform for example to study the effectiveness of experimental teaching platform.This paper will study the effectiveness of the platform from the experimental abilities of students, so I will establish the framework of effectiveness research, namely how effective is the platform. First, I will analyze experimental abilities of students. Through the analysis of current chemical experiments to determine two kinds of experiments: demonstrative and exploratory experiments I can confirm which the experimental abilities of students contain. Then I will analyze the functions and characteristics of the chemical experimental platform. In other words it is to be described that which functions and characteristics can support cultivation of students' experimental abilities through demonstrative and exploratory experiments. Lastly it is the choice of chemical experimental platform of junior middle school. After the elaboration about validity analysis framework, the paper analyzes the effectiveness of the platform from validity analysis of demonstrative experiment and exploratory experiment two aspects.?In the whole process, the paper conducts according to the following steps: firstly establishing evaluation gauge; secondly designing application cases, application experiment and questionnaire; again recovering questionnaires and analyzing the questionnaires; finally giving the conclusion.
