Child behavior problem refers to the abnormal behavior that appears in childhood with the severity and duration beyond peers'reach, which is mainly characterized by solitude and withdrawal, anxiety and depression, attack and resistance, violation and deviant behavior, and so on. Childhood behavior problem must be properly resolved in time, otherwise it will persist for long periods and become more complicated so that it will negatively affect children both physically and mentally. Furthermore, it will hinder the development of children's growth and socialization and cause mental deficiency and personality disorder. Many scholars deem that incorrect parenting style is a determining factor attributable to the occurrence of child behavior problem. Since the1960s, parenting style and child behavior problem are important subjects in the field of Pedagogy and Development Psychology. In addition to numerous references, this study is based on questionnaire and interviews from189Chinese and163Cambodian children. The objective is to compare the parenting style between Chinese and Cambodian parents and to study its associated influence on3to6years old children in the case of emotional and antisocial behavior problem. By exploring Family influential factors in depth and breadth,we can build some theoretical pavements for prevention and correction of child behavior problem along with improvement of parenting style. The main results are listed as follows:From the detectable rate and score of the problem behavior:1, The detectable rate and score of Chinese children prevails over that of Cambodian children on emotional and antisocial behavior problem;2, In families consisting of different cultural people, the detectable rate of problems in3to6years old children ranks as Chinese infant, Chinese-and-Cambodian mixed children and Cambodian children, and the detectable rate of delinquent behavior tends to decrease significantly in a order that is similar to the above ranking, indicating a cultural gradient is obviously present in the detectable rate of3to6problematic children;3,3-year-old Chinese children have emotional problem at the highest detectable rate and6-year-old Chinese children have antisocial behavior problem at the highest detectable rate while Cambodian children with two types of behavior problem at their age of4years old. From the perspective of parenting dimension, Chinese parents gain higher score in the parenting acceptance (higher scores means higher acceptance) while Chinese parents gain higher score in the parenting control too.(Higher scores means higher permission)From the perspective of parenting style, the indulgent parents prevails in China then followed by authoritative type, in Cambodia, authoritative parents prevails while the next is authoritarian parents. From the perspective of correlation, authoritative parenting styles helps to reduce the two types of behavioral problems in children aged3-6of both China and Cambodia;Authoritarian parenting styles lead to two types of behavioral problems in children aged3-6of China;Neglecting parenting styles lead to two types of behavioral problems in children aged3-6of Cambodia.
