With the rapid development of the economy and the further expansion of the labor market, young parents have devoted more time and energy to work, and grandparents have begun to take on more child-raising responsibilities. It is common for grandparents to cooperate with their parents and even to support their children. However, the role of intergenerational parenting in child development has not been fully studied and validated.Early childhood development has an important impact on children’s life, especially the far-reaching impact of child rearing. In order to understand the characteristics of grandparents ’parenting styles and their impact on children’s behavior problems, this article takes 215 children in a public kindergarten in the southwestern region as the research object, and understands the differences between grandparents’ parenting styles and parental parenting styles through Yang Li zhu’s "Family Parenting Style Questionnaire".Characteristics, learn about children’s problem behaviors through the Survey of Strengths and Difficulties, and analyze the effects of grandparents’ parenting styles and parenting styles on children’s problematic behaviors. The research results found that grandparents’ autocratic and inconsistent parenting styles were significantly positively related to children’s problem behaviors, parental democracies were significantly negatively related to children’s problem behaviors, and parental authoritarian,laissez-faire,doting,inconsistent,and child problem behaviors were significant.Positive correlation. In addition, this study further found that parental doting style has a moderating effect between grandparenting style and children’s problem behaviors. For children whose parents are highly doted, grandparent’bad parenting styles(such as authoritarian and inconsistent)can aggravate children Emotional problems and peer interaction problems, for children whose parents are low-dollars,the poor parenting style of grandparents has no effect on children’s problem behaviors. In short, good parenting styles can effectively buffer the impact of poor grandparents’ styles on children’s development. From the perspective of children’s social work, this study also puts forward some feasible countermeasures for social workers’ intervention in children’s problems.First of all, this study clarifies the importance of parenting styles of grandparents and children to children’s development. Therefore, social workers should effectively carry out scientific popularization and guidance of scientific family parenting styles for child caregivers.Second, this study found that parenting styles have an impact on multiple levels of child development in the context of intergenerational parenting. In addition to directly affecting child development,it may also buffer(or exacerbate)the effects of grandparents’ bad parenting styles on children. Therefore, although inter-generational rearing is common,in addition to intervening with grandparents, child social workers should not ignore the important role of parents in child rearing.
