Analyse The Student Database Structure Of Campus Data Center And Data Exchange

The development of educational information is the inevitable trend of modern education development. The Digital Campus construction as the important way to develop information education arouses the concern and attention of many colleges. Under the background of Digital Campus construction, the application systems in each department are very convenient for teaching, scientific research and management. However, we have to face an urgent problem that is every department only works on their own and gets what they want. So this lacks a comprehensive planning which makes the data distributing in different sections hard to exchange effectively and promptly. The construction of Campus Data Center and the operation of Data Exchange Technology can achieve the effective exchange of respectively departmental data on the basis of all original and maturing systems. It accomplishes campus data management mechanism with "more than one entry and only one exist", ensures the data sources'authority and unity, and makes each department's data comprehensively digested and freely exchanged, to break the state which each department only does business in its own way, and the phenomenon of "Information Island" also disappears with it.Under the circumstance of the South West Jiaotong University Digital Campus construction, this paper mainly talks about three aspects including Information Standard Construction, the design of student data base in data center and data exchange. The first part is a detailed description about research backgrounds, significance, and current situation. The second part makes a conclusion to the data centre of Digital Campus and introduces its definition, theoretical basis and construction discipline. The third part summarizes related theoretical technology about Information Standard Construction and Data Exchange. Starting form the concept of Information Standard, it makes a briefly statement for the principal and establishment of information standard construction. The forth part is the core of the whole paper, and particular introduces the design of student data base in Campus Data Center. Based on the whole analysis design, this paper has a detailed analysis of the design of student data base from aspects of Data Function Diagram, Form, Viewgraph and the Process of Storage. And using the Power Designer modeling tool to design the pattern of student data base. Finally, this paper analyses data exchange briefly. Above the foundation of heterogeneous data analysis, exchange the data between business systems and data center, and describe the mapping process between XML schema and database schema.
