A Research On Construction The Digital Campus Shared Data Center

Along with the development of information technology,communication and network technology as well as the great impacts caused by globalization and internationalization the process of the whole society's information and digitization speeds up.Meanwhile,it puts an unprecedented challenges on higher education which symbols a country's educational levels.The educational environment, patterns, philosophy and objectives are all innovated in accordance with the challenges.What the institutions of higher learning should respond actively is to construct digital campus with large-scale and more input.Xinjiang Normal University, which is regarded as an important normal university in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous ,has been invested a great deal of manpower and material resources to construct digital compus in recent years.It mainly shows that the hardware infrastructure of a campus net has been established and different business systerms were set up by different departments at different times.But a question of"Information Island"is formed among different departments because business systems didn't adopt a unified informational standards. The paper which is based on the situation puts forward a solution of constructing a shared data center to eliminate the"Information Island",then give examples to explore and testify the solution.Firstly,the paper surveys the present constructional situation of digital campus in Xinjiang Normal University and specific business systems used in different departments,analyzes the main problems that existing in the construction of digital campus and proposes the solution of a shared data center for digital campus in Xinjiang Normal University.Secondly,it puts forward the overall framework of a shared data center on the basis of an analysis of total contructional objectives for a shared data center .Besides,it makes an detail analysis on the problems such as the storage of data ,the unified informational standards,design of the data center and how to deal with heterogeneous data problems between operational systems.On the basis,the paper analyzes and summarizes the synchronization problems that must be solved in the present business systems when it is linked with the shared data center and the conncection problem between business system and shared data center which is developed and will be developing.Finally,the paper takes the postgraduates agency system and the synchronization realization of shared data center as an exemple to testify that the specific methods and key techniqes used in the shared data center to prove that it is practical.In the end,the paper work in present study was summarized, and the characteristics and limitation of present study were pointed out. The research direction for further study was also proposed.
