Research On Negative Impact Of Internet On College Students' Morality And Countermeasures

In recent years, internet, which has penetrated into every aspect of daily life and affected people's lifestyles, has become an important way for learning and entertainment. However, to fully enjoy a variety of network facilities, we also have to face the many negative effects. Among it, the most important point is the moral construction of contemporary college students. Some students rely too much on virtual net so that they can not adapt to the real life and lead to problems in learning and life. On the basis of analyzing the usage of internet and the moral status by contemporary college students, this article propose countermeasures to enhance moral education for university students in the net background.Introduction presents the background, literature review and significance of this research. This body is divided into four parts. The first part is about the definitions of internet and morality, and relationship between them is analyzed through investigation. Internet is the most important information infrastructure of society, with the features of virtual, openness and convenience. Morality is the relationship between social adjustment of people according to a certain code of conduct, which has features of special normative, a wide range of permeability, stability and practicality. The results of the survey reveal the net greatly expands the channels for students to acquire knowledge, but also makes students have a psychological dependence. Surveys showed morality of contemporary college students is good, but there are still phenomena of moral anomie. Correlation analysis finds that the longer their learning on line, the higher their moral standards, and the longer students entertain online, the lower their moral level. The second part analyzes the negative impact and the reasons brought by internet for the moral standards of college students. The negative impact mainly includes the negative information impact on the traditional moral values, the moral corrosion and virtual personal dislocation. The main reasons for these problems include:The virtual network is likely to cause dislocation of personality; the network environment is not controllable, which will lead to the decline in the quality of information; the complexity of network information source is likely to dilute the non-standard, the hidden characters will enhance the freedom of immoral behavior. It can be seen in the rapid development of the network, besides providing convenient information for college students, internet also impacts on students' ideas and values. The third part puts forward the main principle and countermeasures for college students to overcome the negative impact. In the context of strengthening the moral education through net for college students, we should adhere to the "government regulate, school guide, personal discipline" principle. Government should improve relevant laws and network management, control the quantity and quality of online games; strengthen civic values education; school should improve the curriculum, enrich social practices; enhance the quality of teachers'professional development and ethics; improve the political educators'internet applications to enhance the ideological and political work; students should enhance their personal moral awareness, foster a stable moral sentiments; trained a strong moral will to strengthen ethical behavior of self-regulation. Expansion of the network era of moral education makes the traditional educational methods in the virtual space broken. To do the moral education of students, government, schools and individuals must cooperate with each other to take measures to work together.The appearance of the internet is the result of the rapid development of science and technology. It brings convenience to people but also brings some negative moral impacts. There are complex factors for different moral quality, but the network, as the closest media with the college students, easily impact on college students. As a national reserve force modernization, college students' morality is related to the nation's future and destiny. Only through the cooperation of government, schools and individuals together, can we achieve the aim of purifying the Internet environment and promoting the healthy development.
